CSA Week 4 - A Spring with flavors of Summer

Mid-June has arrived and we are easing into a bit more crop diversity with each week. Greens have been enjoying the cool and wet weather we've been having. Looking out for our CSA members above all other customers, we included the final spinach cutting of spring time in your boxes. Even with cooler weather we still were able to get blueberries for our members. Hope you enjoy this springtime bounty that has the flair of summer.

Neighborhood U-Pickers finished with blueberries and then gleaned the peas as a bonus.

Succession planting season is underway at Ambrosia. All of the early spring lettuce, radish and turnip beds have been harvested and are currently being replanted into carrots, sauce tomatoes and pickling cucumbers.

Several volunteers have been dropping in to lend a hand and thanks to these lovely people we finally got our leeks transplanted, another field block broadforked and salad mix weeded. Always plenty of help needed on the farm so feel free to give a call or email if you'd like a veggie for work trade, we're always happy to provide.

As always, we'll be at the Whiteaker Market this Thursday and Veneta Market this Saturday so come support your local farmers.
